What treatment can I get on the NHS?

Check-ups, x-rays, fillings, dentures and extractions are all available on the NHS, as well as many other treatments. NHS dentistry prices are set by the Government and are the same across the country. There are now contracts which decide how much NHS dentistry your dentist can do. If your dentist is at capacity, they may not be able to do any more NHS treatment.

Some treatments, such as tooth whitening, are only available privately, but your dentist may well offer these treatments at the practice, so it is well worth asking.

It is absolutely fine to choose some private treatment even though you are an NHS patient.
